College Furloughs Have Begun
Last week the University of Arizona sent shock waves across higher education when its president Robert C. Robbins announced a massive furlough, to begin May 11 and extend to June 30, 2021. Facing a $66 million loss this fiscal year and a $250 million shortfall overall, Robbins proposed the following furloughs and pay reductions to the Arizona Board of Regents:
